Module 1: Everybody bought a map to the same lake

Module 0 · Two lists
20 leads, 4 conversations, 40 minutes
Two lists. Same product, same week, same person writing the emails.
The first one had 400 people in it. Two hours to build: filters, export, clean, import. It produced 2 replies and 1 conversation that went nowhere.
The second had 20. Forty minutes to build. 6 replies. 4 conversations.
Twenty times fewer people. Four times the conversations. And it cost an hour and twenty minutes less to build.
It wasn't the copy and it wasn't the timing.
Same sequence on both. Genuinely the same one, I checked. Same week. The only thing that changed was where the names came from:
- One left a review about a competitor tool they were paying for and clearly hated
- One spoke on a podcast in March about a problem I happen to solve
- One was on an attendee list for a conference that happened eighteen months ago
- One commented on my boss's post four days before I emailed him
Four people. Four completely different places. And none of them is a prospecting database.
What the rest of this course does.
Six modules, most of them under ten minutes. By the end you'll have a repeatable way to produce a list like the second one. I'll rebuild that exact list in front of you with a timer running, then show you what happens to it after you've got it, because a list nobody emails is worth precisely nothing.
One expectation to set.
Every founder who gets outbound working eventually figures this out on their own. Usually by accident, usually after a year of wondering why it isn't working. This course is the shortcut, not the exhaustive version. We teach the 20% of sourcing work that produces 80% of the pipeline, because you have nineteen other jobs.
Nothing to do yet.
Just come to Module 1 with the question: where did those twenty people actually come from?
Next up: Module 1. We start with the uncomfortable part. Why the 400-person list was never going to work, and why it's almost certainly identical to the one your competitor pulled last month.
